Požarevac is a city and the administrative center of the Braničevo District in eastern Serbia. It lies at the confluence of the Danube, Great Morava, and Mlava rivers, below the Čačalica hill. Historically, the area was known as Margus during Roman times and hosted a treaty between the Romans and Huns in 435.
