Summary
Přeštice is a town in the Plzeň-South District, situated in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. First mentioned in 1226 under King Ottokar II, it evolved from a market village acquired by the Kladruby monastery. The town experienced significant development with the construction of the Plzeň-Klatovy road in 1809.
