Rakoniewice is located in Grodzisk County, within the Greater Poland Voivodeship, western Poland. It received town rights in 1662 thanks to Krzysztof Grzymułtowski, the voivode of Poznań. Robert Koch, a Nobel laureate, practiced medicine there between 1869 and 1872.
