Ramygala is a town in Lithuania, situated on the Upytė River, a tributary of the Nevėžis. Historically mentioned since the 13th century, it faced attacks from the Teutonic Knights in 1370. The town gained city rights in 1956 and was named the cultural capital of Lithuania in 2010.
