Summary

Ráquira is a municipality located in the Boyacá Department of Colombia, within the Ricaurte Province. Historically inhabited by the Muisca people, it became known for its ceramic production due to local clay resources. Founded in 1580 by friar Francisco de Orejuela, it's now a center for traditional Andean pottery.
