Regensburg

Regensburg is a city in eastern Bavaria, situated at the confluence of the Danube, Naab, and Regen rivers. Originally a Roman fort named Castra Regina, it served as a crucial military outpost. The city later became the capital of Bavaria under the Agilolfings and hosted significant assemblies of the Holy Roman Empire.
