Summary

Reims is a city in the Marne department of France, northeast of Paris. Historically, it served as the capital for the Remi tribe and flourished under Roman rule as Durocortorum. It gained prominence as the traditional coronation site for French kings, notably Clovis I in 496, due to the Holy Ampulla kept at Reims Cathedral.
