Rétság is a town in Nógrád county, Hungary, situated 55 km north of Budapest. Historically, the settlement belonged to the Losonczy family in 1393, known then as Réthy Saag. The town experienced desolation during the Ottoman conquest in the 16th and 17th centuries.
