Rheine

Rheine is a city in the district of Steinfurt, Westphalia, Germany, situated on the river Ems. It received its town charter in 1327 from Louis II, Bishop of Münster, and historically benefited from its location on important merchant routes. The city suffered significant damage during the Thirty Years' War and World War II.
