Summary
Riccione is a municipality located in the Province of Rimini, within the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy. The town developed significantly after the arrival of the Bologna–Ancona railway in 1861, becoming a popular tourist destination. It gained independence from Rimini in 1922 and was favored by the Mussolini family.
