Río Cuarto, Córdoba

Río Cuarto is a city in the province of Córdoba, Argentina, founded in 1786 by Rafael de Sobremonte. It developed as a transport hub due to its location in the Humid Pampas, attracting Italian and Spanish immigrants. The city hosts the National University of Río Cuarto, established in 1971.
