Saint-Flour

Saint-Flour is a commune in the Cantal department of south-central France, near Clermont-Ferrand. The town's history traces back to Roman times, with evidence of villas and a vicus named Indiciacum. It became a significant religious center with the founding of a monastery in 996 and the establishment of the Saint-Flour diocese in 1317.
