Summary

San Agustin is a town and municipality in the Huila Department of Colombia, situated 227 km from Neiva. Founded initially in 1752, it faced destruction before being re-established in 1790 by Lucas de Herazo y Mendigaña. The area is renowned for its pre-Columbian archaeological park, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1995.
