San Antonio

San Antonio, located in Texas, was initially named in 1691 by a Spanish expedition honoring Saint Anthony of Padua. It became the first chartered civil settlement in present-day Texas in 1731, evolving from a Spanish mission and colonial outpost. Today, it's a major tourist destination known for the Alamo and the River Walk.
