Summary
San Germán is a historic town in Puerto Rico's Sabana Grande Valley. Founded in 1512 by Miguel Díaz, it was named after Germaine of Foix and Saint Germanus of Auxerre. The city faced attacks from French corsairs in the 16th century, leading to a merger with Santa María de Guadianilla in 1571.
