Summary
San Pedro de la Paz is a Chilean city and commune in the Biobío Region, part of Greater Concepción. Originally established as Fort La Candelaria in the 16th century, it was rebuilt as Fort San Pedro de la Paz in 1603. The city suffered destruction during the Chilean War of Independence in 1821.
