Santa Cruz das Flores

Santa Cruz das Flores is a municipality located on the northern half of Flores Island in the Azores archipelago. Historically, the area was first documented in 1548, with early settlers arriving on the ship Nossa Senhor da Misericórdia. Diogo das Chagas described it as the island's administrative center with a well-situated port.
