Selm

Selm is a town in the district of Unna, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, situated near Dortmund and Hamm. Historically, it was ruled by the count of Cappenberg and the bishop of Münster before becoming part of Prussia in the 19th century. The town experienced rapid growth in the early 20th century due to coal mining, particularly with the Zeche Hermann mine.
