Senglea, known as Città Invicta, is a fortified city within the Grand Harbour of Malta. It was founded by Grand Master Claude de la Sengle, taking part of his name, and played a crucial role in resisting the Ottoman invasion during the Great Siege of Malta in 1565. Originally named Isola di San Giuliano, it evolved from a hunting area to a vital defensive stronghold.
