Sezemice is located approximately 5 kilometers northeast of Pardubice, within the East Elbe Table. The Loučná River flows through the town, and the Labská fishpond lies to the north. The first written record of Sezemice dates back to 1115, when Duke Vladislaus I gifted the village.
