Sillamäe is a town in Ida-Viru County, Estonia, situated on the southern coast of the Gulf of Finland. Historically a resort village, it later became an industrial center for oil shale processing and uranium extraction during the Soviet era. The town is located at the mouth of the Sõtke River.
