Șimleu Silvaniei

Şimleu Silvaniei is a town in Sălaj County, Crișana, Romania, historically significant due to its Dacian origins and Roman presence. The town was mentioned as early as 1258 and was once a key possession of the Bátory family, who built a castle there. It served as a strategic point during Ottoman conflicts and was part of the Kingdom of Hungary until 1920.
