Skuodas is a city in northwestern Lithuania situated on the border with Latvia. Historically, it was a private town owned by the Chodkiewicz and Sapieha families and granted Magdeburg rights in 1645. The city is known for its Romanesque Revival Catholic Church consecrated in 1850.
