Spandau

Spandau is a borough of Berlin located at the confluence of the Havel and Spree rivers. Its history dates back to the 7th or 8th century when the Slavic Heveller tribe established a fortress in the area. The site was later conquered by King Henry I in 928 before returning to Slavic control.
