Staunton, Virginia

Staunton is an independent city in Virginia, notable as the birthplace of U.S. President Woodrow Wilson. Founded in 1747, it served as a regional capital and a vital trading center during the colonial era. The city is home to Mary Baldwin University and was the first in the U.S. to adopt a city manager system.
