Summary

Strzelin is a town in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship of Poland, located on the Oława river within the Wrocław metropolitan area. It is famous for containing Europe's deepest granite quarry and features the Romanesque St. Godehard's Rotunda dating back to the 12th century. The town was granted rights in 1292 by Duke Bolko I the Strict of the Piast dynasty.
