Tegucigalpa

Tegucigalpa is the capital and largest city of Honduras, forming a Central District together with its sister city Comayagüela. It became the national capital in 1880 under President Marco Aurelio Soto. The city is situated in a valley surrounded by mountains in the Francisco Morazán department.
