Topeka, Kansas

Topeka is the capital city of the U.S. state of Kansas and serves as the county seat of Shawnee County. Founded in 1854, it became a focal point for the antislavery movement during the Kansas-Nebraska era. The city gained international prominence through the landmark Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education.
