Toretsk is an industrial city located in the Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine, situated on the Kryvyi Torets river. Historically known as Dzerzhynsk, it was a significant center for coal mining in the Donbas region since the 18th century. The city has suffered extensive damage during the Russo-Ukrainian War.
