Trier

Trier is a historic city located on the banks of the Moselle river in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Founded by the Romans as Augusta Treverorum, it served as one of the four capitals of the Roman Empire during the Tetrarchy. The city is renowned for its well-preserved Roman monuments and cathedrals, which are designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
