Ubaque is a municipality located in the Eastern Province of the Cundinamarca department in Colombia. The region was historically inhabited by the indigenous Muisca people before being conquered by Spanish forces in the 1530s. It is home to the sacred Lake Ubaque, which served as the site for the final public religious ceremony of the Muisca in 1563.
