Summary
Uničov is a historic royal town in the Olomouc Region, founded around 1213 by Margrave Vladislaus III. It was granted Magdeburg rights in 1223 and became a center for trade and crafts in the Upper Morava Valley. The town is well known for its preserved historic center and the UNEX engineering company.
