Uruma

Uruma is a city in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, formed in 2005 through the merger of Gushikawa, Ishikawa, Katsuren, and Yonashiro. It is home to significant historical sites including Katsuren Castle and the Iha Shell Mound, as well as several United States military facilities. The city is recognized as a key location for the post-World War II restoration of civil life in Okinawa.
