Summary
Venadillo is a town located in the Tolima department of Colombia, northeast of Ibagué. Founded in 1560 by Bartolomé de Frías y Carvajal as a deer husbandry site, it underwent further foundations in 1596 and 1710. The town's name originates from the local deer population and is commemorated by the "Los Venados" statue.
