Verden, Aller

Verden an der Aller is a town in Lower Saxony, Germany, situated on the Aller river and serving as the district seat of Verden. Known as the “equestrian town”, it hosts a strong horse‑breeding tradition. Historically, it was the site of Charlemagne’s 782 Saxon massacre and later became a Free Imperial City.
