Vilkaviškis is a city in southwestern Lithuania, serving as the administrative center of the Vilkaviškis District Municipality. It's situated at the confluence of the Šeimena and Vilkauja rivers, 23 km northwest of Marijampolė. The city received its city rights in 1660 from King John II Casimir Vasa.
