Summary
Vojňany is a village located in the Kežmarok District of the Prešov Region in northern Slovakia. First mentioned in 1235, it historically belonged to Szepes County within the Kingdom of Hungary. The village was liberated from Wehrmacht control by the Red Army in January 1945 during the Western Carpathian offensive.
