Summary
Voznesensk is a city in Mykolaiv Oblast, Ukraine, serving as the administrative center of Voznesensk Raion. Founded in 1795 on the site of a Cossack settlement, it became a key administrative hub for the Imperial Russian namestnichestvo. During WWII, it was occupied by Axis forces from 1941 to 1944.
