Wakuya is a town in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, situated in the Ōsaki Plains. Historically part of Mutsu Province, it was settled during the Jōmon period and yielded gold used in the Nara Daibutsu. The town experienced significant damage from the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami.
