Weilburg

Weilburg is located in the Lahn valley, between the Westerwald and Taunus mountains in Hesse, Germany. Historically, it was first mentioned in 906 as a fortification named Wilineburch, and later became significant due to the 'Weilburger Testament' of King Conrad I in 918. The town's strategic location controlled trade routes from Frankfurt to Cologne and Flanders to Bohemia.
