Wiener Neustadt is a city in Lower Austria, approximately 50km south of Vienna. Founded in 1194 by Duke Leopold V, it was financed by the ransom of Richard the Lionheart. It is home to the Theresian Military Academy, established in 1751 by Maria Theresa.
