Winterthur

Winterthur is a city in the canton of Zurich, Switzerland, and the country's sixth-largest city. Historically, it originated as a Roman vicus named Vitudurum, later fortified against Alamannic invasions. The city received its charter in 1264 under Habsburg rule, following the extinction of the Kyburg dynasty.
