Yahaba is a town located in central Iwate Prefecture, Japan, bordering Morioka and Shiwa. Historically part of Mutsu Province, it was settled during the Jōmon period and controlled by Sakanoue no Tamuramaro in 813 AD. The area later fell under the Nambu clan's rule during the Edo period.
