Yampil, Vinnytsia Oblast

Yampil is a city in Vinnytsia Oblast, central Ukraine, situated on the Dnister River near the border with Moldova. Founded in the early 17th century, it was historically part of the Kingdom of Poland before being annexed by Russia in 1793. The city once had a significant Jewish population and served as an administrative center.
