Summary
Yonago is a city located in western Tottori Prefecture, Japan, facing the Sea of Japan and Lake Nakaumi. Historically part of ancient Hōki Province, the area contains archaeological remains from the Yayoi and Kofun periods. Yonago Castle was reconstructed by Nakamura Kazutada during the Edo period, becoming a center of the Yonago Domain.
