Żagań is a town in western Poland, situated on the Bóbr river and serving as the capital of Żagań County in the Lubusz Voivodeship. Founded in the 12th century by Bolesław IV the Curly, it was once the capital of an eponymous principality. The town is notable for its Augustinian Monastery, a Piast dynasty burial site, and the WWII POW Camps Museum.
