Summary

Žary is a town in western Poland, located in the Lubusz Voivodeship. Historically, the area was part of Lower Lusatia and experienced rule under Polish Dukes like Bolesław I Chrobry and later the Bohemian Crown. The town flourished as a trade center on the 'Salt Trail' and hosted Polish Kings Augustus II and Augustus III.
