Zhydachiv is a city in Lviv Oblast, western Ukraine, situated on the Stryi River. First mentioned in 1164 as Udech, it was a significant trade center in Galician Rus'. The city received Magdeburg rights in 1393 from King Władysław II Jagiełło.
