Zielona Góra, meaning 'Green Mountain', is a city in western Poland, the largest in Lubusz Voivodeship. It was first settled in the 12th century by Duke Henry the Bearded and granted town privileges in 1323. Throughout its history, it was part of Bohemia, the Habsburg Empire, Prussia, and Germany before becoming Polish again after WWII.
