Zug

Zug is the capital of the Swiss canton of Zug, situated on the shores of Lake Zug. Historically, the town's name originates from fishing terminology, referring to the right to pull up nets. Archaeological evidence indicates settlement in the area dating back to Paleolithic times, with numerous Neolithic pile dwellings discovered along the lake.
